DressageStar.com
launched!

|
|
Now you can
locate more dressage horses for sale and sell your dressage horse with
our new service DressageStar.com!
We receive many phone calls from people who have dressage horses to sell.
We also talk with many breeders and trainers in Germany and Holland who
have horses for sale. What has been missing is a good web site devoted
to selling only dressage horses. A site that both Europeans and those
of us from the US and Canada can use as well.
We have been developing this internationally oriented web site that allows
sellers from all parts of the world to advertise their dressage horses.
We just launched it May 8, 2007.
We created this site because as regular dressage horse sellers, we have
been frustrated with the classified web sites out there. Many sites use
old technology, are difficult to navigate, and expensive with a lot of
extra hidden charges. Many don't let you edit your ad or change your photos.
Its even cumbersome to pay with some. Additionally, buyers have to sift
through the majority of other horses listed that are not dressage horses
to find yours.
Market your horse on our new worldwide dressage marketplace DressageStar.com
- Post
up to 4 photos.
- Edit
your ad or change your photos any time.
- Link
to your web site for better results and tracking of your ad dollars
spent.
- Ads never expire so mark them sold when you are ready and avoid paying
for the same ineffective ad twice when you are asked to renew!

It was a lot of fun. Riders commented on how nice it was to show
in a relaxed environment with such high quality footing. Thanks for all
of you who turned out. It worked out so well we decided to have another
show. Check the show page for information on our upcoming
show in June.

Southern Pines/Pinehurst Area Farm Tour A Big Success
In October, The
Prancing Horse Therapeutic Riding Program put on its annual fund raising
farm tour. We were asked to open our farm for the event. We held 5 dressage
demonstrations with 2 FEI demonstrations, a demonstration on a Training
level import, a Friesian imported dressage gelding, and a recently sold
imported Hanoverian. The weather was perfect- everyone had a great time
and we hosted a great turnout with over 300 visitors.

Leiflander- imported 2000
Leiflander was imported by Kelley Farm in late
2000.
Congratulations to Melanie!
|
Chronicle of the Horse June 13, 2003
(Dressage at Lamplight show, Wayne Illinois)
Melanie Moehling's horse Leiflander was the reserve
champion at third level in his debut at that level. Shown by his trainer
Patti Becker, he seemed to float through his tests and won a test 1
class (69.72%), a test 2 class (68.66%), and a test 3 class (70.88%).
"I just love riding this horse. He's always up for anything and
is extremely honest in the ring," said Becker.
The 7-year-old, bay Hanoverian by Lauries Crusader is Moehling's dream
come true. "Leiflander is such as joy to be around. He's kind,
personable, and boy is he a blast to ride! Not to mention that he is
stunning to watch- I couldn't be more proud of him," she said.
Pattie and Carole Allgauer, owners of Fireside Farm, found him for Meohrling.
He had been imported to California from Germany, via the Internet. "They
went out to the West Coast, tried him and bought him. The first time
I saw him live was when I went to pick him up at the airport,"
said Moehling.

Summer 2003- Some
additions to the Photo Galleries
Visit
Antares' Gallery
There are some new photos in the galleries! You can view new photos of Vicki's
recent workouts with Antares. Antares is a beautiful black 7 year old Hannoverian
imported in 2000. His impressive 18 hand size combined with his light and
supple movement make him an impressive mount.
Visit Warkanna's Gallery
Additionally, you can also see Warkanna, a five year old Hanoverian mare
at her first show in April. This striking mare is by Warkant and is half-sister
to the California stallion Winter Prinz. Warkant won the German Hanoverian
Verband stallion of the year award for 2002.
You can view all of the galleries here.

Summer 2002

While on our last trip to Germany we had the good fortune to watch Lisa
Wilcox win the Grand Prix dressage on Revelant, a Rubinstein son. Lisa
Wilcox was ranked 5th in the world in 2001 and is the #1 ranked American.
Although she lives and trains in Germany, she rides for the American dressage
team.

Winter 2001
We have just returned back from another trip to Germany. After covering
a lot of miles and evaluating over 100 horses, we have found another
high quality dressage prospect to import. A holsteiner, this horse is
sure to be a top competitor in the show ring. At 4 years old, this gelding
has a quality of movement and balance not often seen. We have posted
some video captures of "Tex" taken in Germany to the photo
gallery.

Winter 2000 We took
a trip to Germany to find a few quality dressage prospects to import.
Our goal was to find an excellent young horse already under saddle with
a perfect vet report and a high degree of talent for dressage. We knew
the right horse in training with Vicki after a few months, would become
a true competitor in the US. We found just the horse- Leiflander. A
beautiful type, with excellent gaits, and an truely one-of-a-kind personality.
You can view more about him in the Photo
Galleries. Are you interested in finding top quality dressage horses
in Germany? Contact Vicki before
our next trip. |
