A late March visit to Chantilly, France and the
Musee Vivant Du Cheval (Living Horse Museum)
While visiting Paris at the end of March of '98, we decided to take
a day trip to the villa of Chantilly. We took the Metro to the train,
then the 40 minute train ride delivered us to the town of Chantilly.
Upon arriving in Chantilly, we began our walk across the equine town and
though the park-like countryside to the grand stables. The stables
could not be mistaken sitting alongside the large grass horse racing track
and across the lake from the Chateau Du Chantilly.
Aside from the photos here the museum houses many collections of
postcards, tack, veterinary supplies, shoeing items, toys, harnesses, and
a lot more!
